YouTube expanded the Partner Program to include direct Shorts monetization. Creators now earn a share of ad revenue from Shorts views through the Shorts Monetization Pool, separate from long-form RPM.
Shorts vs Long-Form RPM
Shorts RPM is lower per view than long-form -- approximately $0.03 to $0.08 per 1,000 views compared to $2 to $20 for long-form. However, Shorts receive significantly more algorithmic distribution, particularly for newer channels. The machine produces both formats with format auto-detected based on story length.
Using Shorts as a Top-of-Funnel
Shorts are discovery vehicles. They introduce new viewers to your channel, who then watch long-form content and generate higher RPM. The machine's cross-promotion script handles the long-form link in every Shorts description automatically.
